Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

We're growing! We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Scala Engineer to join our team. 

Across all our brands we have around 350 Software Engineers all with varying backgrounds and levels of experience. One key thing that all of our engineers have in common is a desire to develop brilliant, industry redefining products as well as their own skills.

We hire people primarily based on software engineering talent and not on specific skill sets alone. If you are Interested in us? We're interested in you!

Ideally you will have skills in some or all of the following:

• A functional programming language, preferably Scala
• Typelevel Scala (e.g.s Cats, Cats-Effect, http4s, FS2)
• Kafka and/or distributed asynchronous architecture
• Creating and integrating with HTTP APIs (e.g. RESTful, GraphQL)
• Experience or interest in Infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience or interest in maintaining CICD
• Exposure to cloud native computing
