This internship is a rare opportunity to gain career-making GIS and software development experience as well as advanced exposure to the Energy Sector.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li style="margin-top:4px;margin-left:8px;">Script Development: Harness the power of Python to automate workflows for site selection, map production, landowner engagement, interconnection queue data mapping, rate assessments, and beyond.</li><li style="margin-top:4px;margin-left:8px;">Support Lead GIS Analyst in ArcGIS online web development, Site Diligence and Desktop Analysis, Permitting, Project Layout Exhibits and Land Options</li><li style="margin-top:4px;margin-left:8px;">GIS Data Analysis: Dive into wide-ranging geospatial datasets encompassing land use, land ownership, environmental factors, and electrical transmission systems. </li><li style="margin-top:4px;margin-left:8px;">Machine Learning: prepare, train, and run models within ArcGIS Pro related to advanced Satellite Imagery Analysis and site selection.</li><li style="margin-top:4px;margin-left:8px;">Engage in cross-team collaboration to support Key Capture Energy’s development and commercial pipeline.</li><li style="margin-top:4px;margin-left:8px;">Assist team and project leads as directed.</li><li style="margin-top:4px;margin-left:8px;">Interact effectively in-person, by electronic communication and by telephone.</li><li style="margin-top:4px;margin-left:8px;">Work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li style="margin-top:4px;margin-left:8px;">Contribute to a positive work environment.</li><li style="margin-top:4px;margin-left:8px;">Perform other duties as required.</li></ul>WORK EXPERIENCE &amp; REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Required proficiency in Python and any GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, GeoPandas, Leaflet).</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">At least one year of software development experience in a professional or academic setting.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Demonstrated ability to deliver time-pressured projects punctually and with high quality.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;margin-bottom:4px;">Passionate about the renewable energy space and confident in their work product.</li></ul>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li style="margin-left:8px;margin-bottom:4px;">Must have the ability to identify and distinguish colors.</li></ul> </div>
