We are looking for an Operations Manager to join as a key member of the Marcomms organization. The primary objective of this role is to enable the Marcomms team to achieve its strategic goals by developing and improving the data, structures, and processes that support a seamless operation. The ideal candidate is energized by Impossible’s mission, is well organized and attentive to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position reports directly to the Director of Product Marketing and will be tightly aligned to operational functions both within Marcomms (Marketing, Creative & Comms) and cross-functionally. In this role, you will demonstrate leadership in managing the following operational areas:
●Business Planning: budgeting, managing Marcomms spend and forecasting, contract management, and strategic planning
●Infrastructure: expand and develop the tools we need to operate and support the systems we use today
●Team and Talent: enable a smooth employee experience from helping with team onboarding to organizing team meetings and championing other strategic projects of interest


You Will:

  • Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives and programs that drive organizational effectiveness and achieve company goals, including business planning, process optimization, internal communication, budget development and review, and performance management
  • Optimize processes for cross functional alignment and agility; identifying gaps, addressing conflict and clarifying or proposing solutions where needed 
  • Provide support as needed across operational areas such as systems, technology training, adoption, and assessments. Encourage and measure adoption of key technologies and processes
  • Develop cross functional communication vehicles in concert with company and division practices; providing continuity and governance
  • Project Manage the owned marketing launch of new items including building and keeping to timelines, mitigating obstacles, and flagging risks to ensure OTIF launch
  • Maintain master calendar of major marketing and/or cross-functional initiatives
  • Gather, consolidate, and analyze operating and financial results, including preparing internal reporting packages, analyzing trends & drivers, and explaining forecast vs. actual variances
  • Liaise closely with the Accounting, Finance and Legal teams to support strong financial management and oversight of contractual obligations
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects to analyze and understand the implications of proposed business decisions
  • Partner with our People team to nurture a joyful and impactful team culture and support individual career growth
  • Challenge the status quo of “how things work” in the food industry to knock down barriers to grow the business faster than any food brand ever has 

You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree 
  • 5+ years experience in a relevant role in a start-up or food/CPG environment
  • Working knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting principles
  • Ability to develop frameworks and solutions to high-level questions and concepts with limited supervision
  • An appetite to continuously improve and learn
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine interest and passion for Impossible Foods’ mission
  • Ability to navigate and thrive in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment
  • A self-starter mentality with an exceptionally high quality bar; are naturally preemptive and proactive, and intellectually curious
