<h2>Overview</h2>What You’ll Be Doing Cadmus seeks a Senior Associate for Energy Efficiency Evaluation and Market Studies to join our Market Characterization &amp; Evaluation team in the Energy Services Division. In this role, you will lead our evaluations and market studies of emerging technology programs that are designed to change markets permanently by making clean energy solutions the norm. This role is expected to manage and conduct primary and secondary research on behalf of Cadmus’ energy clients (primarily utilities and administrators of energy efficiency programs). This role will be responsible for managing projects, executing market research and analysis, and managing the creation of written reports of findings. This role will lead market research activities, provide guidance to junior staff, implement strict quality control and quality assurance, and compile and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have professional experience in program evaluation, social science research methods, and evaluating emerging technologies. For more information, visit www.cadmusgroup.com.<h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>High-quality management, performance, and oversight of Cadmus market progress evaluation and market research projects.</li> <li>Design research plans and processes, including data collection activities, data analysis, and synthesis of research findings and development of actionable recommendations for client consideration.</li> <li>Develop and refine models to predict energy usage and environmental impacts across various sectors, including residential and commercial buildings, transportation, industrial, and agriculture.</li> <li>Analyze environmental emissions and assess the implications of policy interventions on energy systems, focusing on causality and impact.</li> <li>Conduct sensitivity and uncertainty analyses to investigate the effects of input parameters, model design choices, and potential errors on outputs, while measuring how changes in assumptions impact model predictions.</li> <li>Active participation in the ideation and execution of business development activities, including cultivating existing client relationships to expand existing work and supporting Cadmus in creating proposals.</li> <li>Nurture and build existing client relationships as a primary point of contact. Provide clear and consistent communications on projects and raising any concerns or issues.</li> <li>Essential project management activities including budget tracking, invoicing, project planning, staff balancing, and resource management.</li> <li>Develop detailed reports and presentations of results, findings, methodologies, and data sources, in addition to providing clear, actionable recommendations to clients.</li> <li>Active communication with and coordination of project teams, providing constructive feedback and managing expectations.</li> <li>Ongoing communication with Cadmus Energy Services leadership and support teams, including accounting, accounts payable, contracts, and operations regarding the health and status of all projects and tasks.</li> <li>Communicate professionally (oral and written) with colleagues and clients, in varying time zones.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Ten (10) to twelve (12) years of experience managing or leading research or planning projects that include both qualitative and quantitative techniques.</li> <li>Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, the social sciences, environmental studies, economics, or a related field.</li> <li>Industry experience in market research, energy efficiency, utilities, emerging technologies, market transformation program design and/or market effects evaluation.</li> <li>Strong foundation in statistical and econometric methods, including causality analysis, time series, cross-sectional, and panel data analysis, and experience analyzing large datasets.</li> <li>Expertise in survey design and administration, sample design, and data collection methodologies to ensure robust and reliable data.</li> <li>Experience designing and conducting social science research.</li> <li>Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li> <li>Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.</li> <li>Some domestic travel may be required (typically no more than 10%).</li></ul>Preferred<ul> <li>Prior consulting experience working independently to make decisions.</li> <li>Prior experience leading market research or energy efficiency evaluation projects.</li> <li>Staff management and development experience.</li> <li>Business development (including proposal management and response) experience.</li> <li>Demonstrated analytical skills using statistical and analytical software (e.g., Python, SAS, R, Excel).</li></ul>Additional Information: Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen. Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs. The minimum starting salary for this position is $114,000.
