These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.​We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.  Job Description  Teledyne Qioptiq has an immediate need for an enthusiastic Material Handler who will be responsible for assisting and conducting the receipt, storage, internal delivery and other material movements as necessary to support our production operations.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Physically receiving material and internal movements. </li><li>Creating and executing appropriate SAP transactions.  Production line support, storage and traceability requirements.</li><li>Interface with engineering, production and purchasing to coordinate material movements as needed.</li><li>Compliance with all written procedures for inventory and material handling activities.</li><li>Efficient movement of materials required to meet production schedules.</li><li>Identify, track and escalate material shortages as appropriate.</li><li>Building component “kits” as required to support production operations.</li><li>Inventory accuracy; material organization, material stocking and delivery, cycle counts and physical inventory activities as required. </li><li>Identify and resolve inventory variances and related issues.</li><li>Document storage and retention in accordance with Teledyne Qioptiq requirements.</li><li>Execution of vendor returns when appropriate/required.</li><li>Preparation, palletization and execution of outbound shipments, including hazardous materials shipping.</li><li>Consignment inventory tracking, usage and cost accuracy.</li></ul>Physical requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to lift 30 lbs. on a consistent basis. </li><li>Must be able to physically move supplies up and down stairs.</li><li>Must be able to use a 5-step ladder with handrails.</li><li>Hand and eye coordination required to operate a computer and mouse.</li></ul>Preferred skills:<ul><li>Excel experience is desired</li><li>SAP experience is desired</li></ul>Essential functions and required skills:<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required</li><li>A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting</li><li>A minimum of 1 year of experience with inventory control</li><li>Computer skills – inventory is kept in SAP and parts are issued out of inventory</li><li>MS Word experience is required</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.  The right person will work closely with the Master Scheduler and Material Planner in a team environment to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.</li><li>Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail</li></ul><ul><li>Please note due to the requirements from the Department of Energy, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED;</li></ul> #qioptiq  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
