Job Description

Our Mission

SPAN develops products that accelerate the rapid adoption of renewable energy in the home. The flagship SPAN Smart Panel is a game changer and the first true evolution for the traditional home electric panel, harnessing enhanced technology for metering, monitoring, and control. An expanded product suite of intelligent, integrated solutions radically lowers the cost and complexity of energy upgrades–including solar, batteries and EVs–empowering homeowners to be active, resilient and informed players in the energy market.

 The Role

At SPAN, we are building products that enable the rapid adoption of renewable energy like home solar, batteries, and electric vehicles. The SPAN Smart Panel replaces the standard electrical panel to become the center for connected power in the home, providing revolutionary insights and home energy controls through the SPAN mobile app.

We’ve developed a breakthrough product for residential solar + storage customers, have seen strong initial market traction, and are looking to rapidly grow revenue by expanding our Sales team. SPAN is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to source, sell to, and grow relationships with our solar installer partners and distributors. This person will be responsible for making our customers and company successful, owning a substantial portion of SPAN's revenue target.

The Regional Sales Manager will cover the Central US region and can work remotely from anywhere in the Central US. Most of the opportunity will be found in the “NFL & Big Ten (less MD & Rutgers)” cities though the opportunities for a solution like SPAN are everywhere and the RSM will have the choice to prioritize their time to build their business.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the sales funnel for solar and storage installation professionals - from finding the right contacts and companies, all the way through the sales cycle and ensuring successful order volume
  • Build trusted, lasting partnerships with executives, key decision-makers and influencers of solar and storage companies
  • Take a leading role with our national distributors including some HQ support along with local distributors
  • Build a pipeline through both inbound and outbound contact with customers - we’ve had hundreds of installers reach out to us, and this role will also entail creating a new contact with small and medium businesses that can be successful partners for SPAN
  • Onboard signed customers to SPAN, ensuring that sales and operational teams are trained and effectively activated with the product
  • Represent SPAN at events and in discussions with partners
