Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

You’ll be working in the OVO Growth team across the end to end smart-meter customer journey, from appointment to installation. We're a small team of Marketing managers dedicated to bringing to life the benefits smart meters provide for our customers and helping them to get smart meters in their homes, whilst providing an excellent customer experience.

 

What will I be doing?

Each Marketing Manager owns and leads several CRM strategies delivering insight driven, tailored communications strategies. , along with having responsibility for some capability or channel developments that will benefit the whole team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating insight driven Customer and Contact Strategies to support business objectives
  • Owning specific strategies that  increase  Smart meter penetration in line with regulatory commitment and targets
  • Defining customer journeys together with the Marketing Automation teams, briefing them on requirements for data and touchpoints
  • Briefing and challenging creative studio or external agency to produce best in class communications, and manage through the campaign delivery cycle - from review to approval
  • Adopting a test and learn approach to continual optimise performance
  • Working closely with team members across the group to define forecast and monitor and report on performance of individual campaigns and strategies
  • Working with product teams to help deliver optimised conversion and a seamless booking experience
  • Sharing knowledge and learning about owned strategies across  customer operations or other channel owners to enable well-rounded and customer-centric contact strategy
  • Supporting on regulatory reporting to deliver evidence that supports our compliance with All Reasonable Steps (ARS) and SMICoP
  • Being a customer champion and ensure the needs of vulnerable customers are understood and addressed

 

Is this the job for me?

You're confident managing different collaborators and complex business priorities, ideally with experience in the utility market. You will have great strategic, operational, technical and creative instincts, along with impressive organisation/ project management skills.

You're comfortable juggling multiple people's priorities to ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget. You're passionate about getting things right for customers, ensuring that customer impacts are understood when operational and technical solutions are delivered. You'll be a great teammate who's meticulous, thorough and able to work well independently to solve problems and make decisions.

Even better if you have:

  • Proven experience on CRM and developing Marketing Plans
  • The ability to develop data driven customer contact strategies
  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g. energy, finance) or with functions such as billing, operations or customer services would be desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of SalesForce MarketingCloud or similar data-led email platforms would be helpful
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships with team members
  • The ability to respond quickly and decisively to requirements
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-changing environment
  • A fast learner with an optimistic outlook.
