Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) is seeking a temporary, part-time Associate (entry-level research and collaboration positions) to support a greenhouse gas emissions project within the Climate Intelligence Program. Position Overview:
As an Associate, you are a creative problem solver who uses your quantitative, technical and analytical abilities to conduct compelling research and assessment around vital energy issues. You will collaborate with team members to craft visionary yet practical solutions for our research questions and clients.
As an RMI Associate, you will be an independent contributor and work closely with colleagues on projects under the direction of more senior staff. You will develop expertise in the content area of your specific program within RMI and will provide subject-matter support on that topic to other RMIers.
Thisposition will focus specifically on RMI’s participation to the Climate TRACEcoalition. RMI is a founding member of theClimate TRACE coalition. This year, Climate TRACE has partnered with TheClimate Group to propose an innovative pilot project to provide a recenttimeseries of granular greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data to six state and regionalgovernments to accelerate their climate action. This project is referred to asthe States and Regions Remote Sensing (STARRS) project.
The term for this temporary position is July 1 throughDecember 31. The workload is estimated at 5 to 24 hours per week. This positionwill report to Climate Intelligence Senior Associate.

Compensation
RMI compensates based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new Temporary Associates based in the U.S. join at the minimum to mid hourly rate of $33.65-39.42 per hour.
