POSITION OVERVIEW
The Energize Colleges Fellow oversees program implementation and student intern mentorship for the Energize Colleges program at the San Mateo County Community College District (SMCCCD). Funded by an innovative partnership through Peninsula Clean Energy, the successful candidate will supervise, coach, and manage a group of ten passionate student interns engaged in energy efficiency, equity, and sustainability efforts in the community. Under the general direction of the Energy and Sustainability Manager, the Fellow will design and guide the program through the stages of partner outreach, intern recruitment, administration, intern supervision, and reporting on program deliverables. This role is a 10-month, full-time position with numerous opportunities to creatively drive campus sustainability engagement, workforce development, and student empowerment through sustainability education and project-based learning.

Housed in the Facilities Maintenance, Operations and Planning Division, the Sustainability Team at San Mateo County Community College District is highly collaborative, close knit and integrated. ABOUT SAN MATEO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT
The San Mateo County Community College District is a community college system in California with three institutions: College of San Mateo in San Mateo, Cañada College in Redwood City, and Skyline College in San Bruno. The district serves more than 25,000 students each day with both day and evening classes. This Fellowship will be housed in the Facilities Maintenance, Operations and Planning Division, the Sustainability Team which has hosted over nineteen Fellows over the past eight years.
