Also, this person can manage a variety of internal and external stakeholders and projects simultaneously while providing the highest standards of service.

What you will be doing at Generate Capital as an Account Executive on the Customer Solutions team:

  • Driving new opportunity creation with both new and existing non-residential end customers through executive level communications.
  • Researching and understanding sustainability initiatives, goals and targets of large scale organizations, both new and existing to Generate, who can benefit from our specific set of infrastructure services.
  • Leveraging Generate’s existing investments, service offerings and partner capabilities to effectively and efficiently engage the right partner on a potential transaction with an end customer.
  • Propose and execute solutions consistent with Generate’s existing programs, especially by utilizing our existing partner ecosystem.
  • Leveraging executive Generate team members in engaging directly and representing Generate with customers.
  • Drive all customer insights and feedback to key internal stakeholders and all Generate platforms, and initiate working sessions with investment team if a customer’s need represents a large or scalable opportunity that is not yet a Generate targeted segment.
  • Act as a liaison between Generate’s customers and partners by facilitating introductions and conveying to customers Generate’s partners’ product or service offering relevant to their need.
  • Industry research and analysis to understand Generate’s ability to offer a solution and furthermore, determine economic viability for all investment constituents (Generate, partner, customer).
  • Lead and respond to strategic and relevant RFPs with partners and contract development firms.
  • Support contract negotiation in coordination with Generate’s legal resources on agreements such as Energy Service Agreements (“ESA”) and Power Purchase Agreements (“PPA”).
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues both internally and externally.
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert on all aspects of assigned work.

  • Experience in articulating the value proposition of structured project finance, energy service agreements, and fundamental understanding of investment securities, including project/sponsor equity, debt, tax equity, etc. as related to our service offerings.
  • Ability to nimbly move between widely varying functions—business development, sales, marketing, technical to analytical to creative, strategy to tactical execution.
  • Proven ability to work independently (without a large company’s support structure), and to garner respect from peers, partners and customers.
  • A demonstrated passion for, and commitment to, Generate’s overall mission.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in an energy-related field (renewables preferred), with deep experience in structuring deals and complex follow through on navigating all key stakeholders to transact successful project(s).
