We’re hiring a part time Bookkeeper to work alongside our friendly Operations team and wider Piclonaut family of software developers, product managers, designers and more that are at the forefront of transforming the energy sector.

In a typical week, you’ll be taking the lead with costs capture and recording; administering our weekly ‘financial close’ which includes time-data submissions from staff; supporting with processing supplier payment ‘runs’; making the relevant entries in QuickBooks with support of the Finance Manager.

About you

Our ideal candidate meets many - but not necessarily all - of the below criteria:

  • 3+ years minimum bookkeeping experience

  • Attention to detail; likes to build ‘self-checks’ into their workflows to ensure accuracy
  • Thrives with autonomy.

  • You’re resourceful, resilient, and flexible, and will help clear the path for everyone to do their best work.
  • You are an excellent communicator who can build relationships with teammates from different disciplines, making sure that everyone is clear about what’s required of them.
  • You’re fluent in English, even if it’s not your first language.

Also desirable:

  • AAT qualified accountant (3 years post qualification).
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; an understanding that current processes may not be 100% perfect, and willing to help craft better solutions going forward.
  • Experience in scale-up environments.
  • You are motivated by Piclo’s mission to make our energy system smart, flexible and clean.
  • You are naturally empathic and are always mindful of the humans who use and benefit from your work.

About the role
