Job Description

Following a number of major contract wins, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead on the delivery and execution of some of our residential EV charging programs. Reporting directly to the Head of North America, you will work closely with our utility and CCA partners to scope, execute and grow residential EV charging programs that help EV drivers save money while delivering tangible grid and network benefits. In this cross-functional role, you will work with ev.energy’s front-end engineering team to build and test utility-branded mobile apps that allow EV drivers to seamlessly enroll and participate in the program, consult with our back-end engineering team to build the APIs and portals needed to connect to EVs and chargers and align them with renewable energy generation, and work with our customer support team to resolve bugs and ensure utilities and their EV customers are delighted with our service.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering projects in either the EV charging or utility/power industries with a positive can-do attitude. A well-rounded generalist would be suited for the role, as it involves both creative and marketing aspects as well as highly quantitative data analysis and could even involve even a bit of engineering/coding work if this an area you're looking to grow into. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who’s invested in growing our business and delivering superior performance for our clients, and are offering a generous amount of equity to match this.

Responsibilities

  • Translate signed commercial contracts into concrete project management plans that can be used by both utility/CCA clients and ev.energy employees to scope out key workstreams, identify interdependencies, and ensure deliverables are ready on time and on budget
  • Lead the project kick-off process with our utility counterparts, identifying focal points for key pieces of work and bringing the ev.energy and utility teams together to agree a plan of action
  • Provide day-to-day management of commercial projects, working across ev.energy’s team of front-end and back-end engineers, graphic designers, marketing consultants and data scientists to translate utility requirements into a clear scope of work, troubleshoot blocked items, ensure projects are on track to deliver, and provide utility counterparts with regular status updates
  • Following project launch, collaborate with utility and ev.energy marketing and customer support teams to ensure program growth through continued customer enrollment and satisfaction to meet targets
  • Proactively manage your utility accounts, serving as the day-to-day focal point for commercial projects with utility, retail and CCA clients and working to expand programs, report results, and ensure continued client satisfaction
  • Analyze EV charging data, customer support tickets, app downloads, and other data sets as part of regular reporting requirements to the utility

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in energy, economics, engineering or business
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in B2B/energy project management
  • Some experience in or exposure to the EV charging or utility/power industries in the US
  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Monday.com, Jira, and other project management software
  • Independent and resourceful; able to navigate complexity to ensure timely and quality delivery
  • A positive, can-do attitude that’s willing to work hard and continuously adapt to a rapidly-growing industry
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (unfortunately we cannot sponsor visas at this time)

If you don’t meet all of the requirements, please apply anyway! We would love to hear from all kinds of people and may be able to tailor the role around your abilities and experience. We value applicants from non-traditional backgrounds, and startup or tech experience is not a prerequisite.

We will support you with

  • A brand new Macbook loaded with all the tools and software you need to work effectively
  • Everything you need to work remotely, investing in your home working setup or paying for access to a co-working space
  • Funded access to conferences and professional development trainings
  • Fully-loaded benefits, including medical, dental, vision and life insurance and a 401(k)
  • 24 days of paid leave per year, plus US public holidays
  • Twice-yearly career review cycles to fast-track promotions and career growth within ev.energy
  • Quarterly flights & accommodation for our "team weeks" across the world

Details

  • Starting: Immediately
  • Location: Remotely based anywhere in the continental US (you must be legally authorized to work in the United States)
  • Salary: Up to $100,000 per year
  • Equity: a significant number of shares in the company vesting over 4 years
