Overview

The Marketing Director is integral to the success of the Marketing team, developing and executing on our marketing strategy while leading a fast-growing team. You'll work daily with cross-functional teams including C-Suite executives, Business Development, Product, Operations to develop marketing initiatives that deliver with clarity around May's core values. This role will report to the VP Marketing and Communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the marketing communications team to set and measure goals and results. Drive the narrative for the company, product, new site launches community engagement, events, and partnerships.
  • Own the marketing and communication planning and implementation process for May Mobility including brand awareness and engagement, product, growth and new market lines of business development. Manage quarterly reviews and ROI repo
  • Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing.
  • Define and craft messaging and campaigns targeting Government/Transit organizations, B2B and Rider customer segments 
  • Oversee paid promotion and advertising to target key segments for sales, and to build brand awareness
  • Support sales and lead generation efforts including trade shows and events, email marketing and newsletters
  • Work with cross-functional teams particularly Business Development and Technology, to grow and maintain May Mobility's business and technology leadership position.
  • Work with our large ecosystem of partners to create and implement co-marketing campaigns that drive value for both partners
  • Be a leader for the Marketing and Communications function within the organization
  • Agency management including planning and budgeting cycles

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required 
  • 7+ years of Marketing leadership experience
  • Deep bench of technology marketing experience
  • A background in marketing to B2B and/or Transit organizations
  • Experience managing in-house teams and agencies
  • Experience with HubSpot and other MarTech tools
  • Validated leadership experience of a global marketing team
  • Strong organizational skills regarding planning, budgeting, events, and campaigns, and metrics analysis
  • Ability to challenge others in the company to extract the key value propositions that drive May's values to customers and community
  • Organization change agent, innovator and motivator. Demonstrable track record for problem solving and issues management
  • Mentorship and coaching for team
  • Travel up to 25% monthly when required
